1. Agreement
These Terms of Service are an agreement between you and Paperwork Labs LLC, a California limited liability company. They govern your use of paperworklabs.com and of Paperwork Labs products and services that do not have terms of their own. AxiomFolio, FileFree, Distill, 1099copy, Creator Ops Kit, Tiny Rebellions, and Kaagaz are products and ventures of Paperwork Labs LLC. Where a product publishes its own terms, for example filefree.ai/terms, those terms govern that product and take precedence over this page if they conflict.
By using our sites or products, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use them.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be able to form a binding contract to use our products. Some products require a Paperwork ID account. You agree to provide accurate account information, to keep it current, and to keep your credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us promptly at hello@paperworklabs.com if you believe your account has been compromised.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to: use the products for any unlawful purpose; interfere with or disrupt the products or the systems that run them; attempt to access another user's account or data; probe or test the security of the products except as we authorize in writing; or use automated means to access the products at volumes a person could not reach, other than through interfaces we provide for that purpose.
4. Financial information is not investment advice
Products that surface market data, portfolio analytics, or trading tools, including AxiomFolio, are provided for information purposes only and do not constitute investment, financial, legal, or tax advice. Paperwork Labs is not a registered investment advisor or broker-dealer. You are responsible for your own investment decisions.
5. Tax tools are not tax or legal advice
Products that assist with tax preparation or filing, including FileFree, provide software tools, not tax, legal, or accounting advice. Content in those products is educational. For advice about your specific situation, consult a qualified professional. Where a professional uses our software, including Distill, that professional is the preparer of record and their professional work is their own; we provide the software, not the advice.
6. Intellectual property
The products, including their software, design, text, and marks, are owned by Paperwork Labs LLC or its licensors and are protected by intellectual-property law. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the products as they are intended to be used. Third-party open-source components remain under their own licenses; see paperworklabs.com/licenses. If you send us feedback, you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free license to use it without obligation to you.
7. Disclaimers
The products are provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the products will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Paperwork Labs will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of the products.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
9. Termination
You may stop using the products at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or to protect the products, our users, or third parties. Sections 6 through 8 and Section 10 survive termination.
10. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, except where otherwise required by applicable law.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the date above and, for material changes, provide additional notice. Continued use of the products after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
